Once
upon a time, a long, long time ago there was a
little boy who heard a rugby game on the radio. The
child was intrigued by his dad's animated reaction
to the events on the radio and became excited
himself, not really knowing why. He soon was hooked
on this Saturday ritual in front of the radio and
became as animated and passionate about the game of
rugby as his dad was.
He grew up (as we
all have to do, eventually) but retained his
child-like fascination of rugby.
That is the story
of both André Gouws and Etienne Marais, the creators
of RWC.co.za - today both of them slightly overgrown
and fanatical rugby supporters. Working together has
its problems, as they support opposing Super 14
teams - but hey, this web site is for the greater
good.
RWC.co.za is the culmination of all the years of
highs and lows, exhilaration and depression caused
by this game of fully grown men fighting over an
oval-shaped ball. We hope that we can enhance your
rugby enjoyment and knowledge on this site and that
if you are not so passionate about rugby yet, you
will still become so. |
